神农架野生猕猴及其生境现状

Current Status of Wild Macaca Mulatta and its Habitat in Shennongjia

2004年4～6月,笔者对神农架林区野生猕猴资源现状进行了考察.考查结果表明：神农架林区野生猕猴主要分布在林区东南部的长坊乡、宋洛乡、新华乡、徐家庄和新华林场的中山地带,约有18个较大的猴群,1 600只左右;神农架林区的猕猴栖息地已有所缩减,生境受到威胁,必须采取有效措施对猕猴的生境进行保护和改善;同时本文对神农架猕猴保护和管理提出了相应的建议.

Abstract:

The author made an on-the-spot investigation on the present wild Macaca mulatta (monkey) resource in Shennongjia forest region from 2004-04~06. The result showed that the wild Macaca mulatta in Shennongjia was chiefly distributed over middle-mountain zone in the southeast of forest region such as townships of changfang, Songluo, Xinhua, Xujia village and Xinhua forestry farm. In this place, there were about 18 larger monkey flocks with total number of 1600 or so. The habitat of the monkeys in Shennongjia forest region had been somehow reduced and the habitat had been threatened. Effective measures should be taken to protect and improve the habitat of Rhesus monkeys. At same time, some suggestions on protection and management of wild Rhesus monkeys in Shennongjia were also proposed in this paper.
