Abstract:The analysis of the native provenance test of Larix kaempferi was studied by the anthor with 7th year growth data in Changlinggang Forest Farm of Jianshi County in Hubei Province. There were significant differences among 213 native families introduced; meanwhile, there were significant differences among the families from natural stands and seed orchards of Japan as well as the mixed seeds of China. The growth of DBH, height and volume of seed orchards throughout each Forest Test Farm of Japan were 1.05, 1.03, and 1.13 times of the mixed seeds produced in China, and 1.25, 1.18 and 1.80 times of the family of natural forest of Japan. The genetic gains of 17.8%, 18. 6% and 18. 7% would be got when 50 plus families were primarily selected based on DBH, height and volume respectively.
