Abstract:Abstracts:The rooting effects of different cutting substrates, growth regulators, age of seed-tree and grades of cuttings of the Pinus elliottii Engelm. stem was studied. The results showed that the rooting rate of pretreatments with dustable power(DP)1# , DP2# and 100 mg/L IBA was higher than others and reached 70% more or less. The rooting quality of pretreatments with 100 mg/L 911 was the best. There were significant differences in different substrates in rooting rate but no significant differences in rooting quality. The rooting rate was highest when the ratio of peat and perlite was 5:5. Stem cuttings of two and three year old seed-tree were better than stem cuttings of six year old seed-tree not in rooting rate but in rooting quality. Rooting quality had a significant positive correlation with thickness and needle length of stem cuttings. Rooting effects were better when used more thickness stem cutting and needle length within 3.1 to 7.0 centimeters.
