Abstract:Abstracts:The authors studied on biomass and distribution of Cunninghamia lanceolata(Lamb.)Hook. on the significance for carbon cycle in western of Hubei. The biomass of Cunninghamia lanceolata(Lamb.)Hook. in western of Hubei was the investigative target. Predicted models of the biomass for different organs were established and the biomass of tree layer as well as its components in different stands were analyzed basing on the statistics of sample plot survey. The biomass of shrub and litter layer in different stands were analyzed through determining the water content in the samples, and finally the total biomass and its distribution rule and pattern were calculated. The biomass of Cunninghamia lanceolata(Lamb.)Hook.were mainly concentrated on arbor layer, in which the proportion of each part is that wood(52%)> root(15%)> branch(14%)> leaf(10%)> bark(9.6%), while the biomass in shrub and litter layer are comparatively little.
