Abstract:Abstracts:Through surveying and analyzing the litter reserves and studying on the litter water retention characteristics of 2 typical forests (shrub forest and evergreen broadleaf forest) in Jinyun Mountain in Chongqing, the hydrological characteristic parameters, including the litter reserves, the maximum water-holding capacity and water-absorption speed, have been gained. The results showed that the litter amount of shrub forest was higher, and that of evergreen broadleaf forest took second place(32.42 t·hm-2>25.48 t·hm-2); The maximum water retention capacity of shrub forest was higher, and that of evergreen broadleaf forest took second place (2.30 mm>1.36 mm,5.76 mm>2.96 mm); The average water-absorption speed of shrub forest was higher, and that of evergreen broadleaf forest took second place (1.60 mm·h-1>0.86 mm·h-1,4.02 mm·h-1>1.61 mm·h-1); The diurnal evaporation of shrub forest was higher, and that of evergreen broadleaf forest took second place (0.22 t·hm-2<0.47 t·hm-2). In a word, the water conservation function of both shrub forest and evergreen broadleaf forest was good, but that of shrub forest was higher than that of evergreen broadleaf forest.
