Abstract:Abstracts:Based on the stationary observations of Larix kaempferi plantation in Jianshi County national Changlinggang Forest Farm located in Hubei, the correlation and rule between the diameter at breast height, canopy area and number of trees was studied. The results showed that: ①The fittest model of the canopy area and diameter at breast height of Larix kaempferi plantation was Y = 2.823 0-0.129 4X+0.014 9X2; ②A suitable management density table of Larix kaempferi was charted when the theoretical density and canopy density of Larix kaempferi with different diameter class was between 0.7 and 0.9; ③We confirmed the optimal management density in the study area when the canopy density was 0.8, and calculated the thinning intensity for each sample plot.
