Abstract:Abstracts:We investigated Castanea mollissima fertilization practices in the main production areas in Hubei Province, and the results showed that the potassium fertilizer application amount is extremely few, and the phosphate fertilizer application amount is somewhat low, but the nitrogenous fertilizer application amount is relatively large. 112 soil samples were taken through GPS positioning in Hubei province, and 11 indicators of soil properties were detected. The 11 indicators were the soil pH, the soil OM, the soil available N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Cu and Zn content, which were detected by regular methods. The results showed that more than eighty percent of the soil pH and soil available N content were appropriate for chestnut growth, but more than half of soil organic matter was less than 15 g/kg, which indicated that more organic fertilizer should be applied to improve the soil organic matter content in chestnut forest of Hubei Province. Both soil available P and available K contents were too low for the chestnut to grow, and the ratios of their contents in the low content range were 56.3% and 73.11%, which indicated that relatively more P, K fertilizer should be applied to balance the large number of nutrients.
