Abstract:Abstracts:Sequoia sempervirens was mostly reproduced by seeds in the forestry production.Because of the high price and low germination rate of seeds,it has practical meaning to study the feasibility of the cuttage propagation in the forestry production.We adopted different hormones and different processing methods to deal with the one-year-old cuttings of Sequoia sempervirens and analyzed the effects of different hormones and treatments on the rate of cutting rooting,the rate of callus,the number of first and second class roots,the length of roots and the fresh weight of roots.The results showed that the cuttings of Sequoia sempervirens processed by the IAA reagent on the concentration of 2 000 mg·L-1 were the best.Both the rate of cutting rooting and the rate of callus could reach 100% and it had obvious advantage on the number of the first class roots.
