Abstract:Trichodermaharzianum is an endophytic fungus . In order to make use of the fungus in sylviculture of pinus elliottii seedlings , the effects of the endophyte on gas exchange , chlorophyll fluorescence , and biomass accumulation of pinus elliottii seedlings were studied. The results showed that the infection of the endophyte significantly increased net photosynthesis rate and transpiration rate , and significantly reduced stomatal conductance and intercellular Co2concentra- tion . The infection significantly reduced chlorophyll fluorescence parameter Y(NO) , and significantly increased other chlorophyll fluorescence parameters , such as Y(II) , qL, ETR, qp, and Fv/Fm. In addition , the infection significantly increased biomass accumulation of shoot , root and total biomass , and significantly changed the biomass allocation between shoots and roots of seedlings infected by the endophyte . In a word , Trichodermaharzianum could be used to improve the seedling quality of pinus elliottii.
