Applying Beauveria bassiana to control the larvae of coclebotys coclesalis which infesting phyllostachys prae- cox from mid-June to mid-July, the larvae infection mortality rate was up to 60%~100%, and B. bassiana combined with chemical pesticides could kill the larvae quickly and make the larvae ossified. It was found through the experiment that the appalments of B. bassiana reduced the damage degree of the bamboo shoot pests such as the bamboo shoot fly and the bamboo shoot night moth in the second year . The experiment provided practical data for biological pest control, produc- tion of green bamboo shoots, and reduction of environmental pollution caused by chemical pesticides .
