Abstract:Seven main cultivars of Actinidia chinensis in Yichang, namely ‘Jintao’‘Cuiyu’‘Jinyan’‘Hort 16A’‘Donghong’‘Xuxiang’and‘Hongyang’, were used as materials. The study was to explore the changes of weight loss rate, hardness and soluble solid content of fruits with storage time under cold storage or 5 days after cold storage. The results showed that ite weight loss rate of fruits increased with the prolongation of storage time. The weight loss rate of fruits at 5 days after cold storage was higher than that under cold storage. The weight loss rate of ‘Hort 16A’ was the highest, and that of ‘Xuxiang’ was the lowest. The hardness of the fruits decreased with the prolongation of storage time. The more storable ones were ‘Jintao’ and ‘Xuxiang’, followed by ‘Cuiyu’‘Hort 16A’ and ‘Hongyang’, and the less storable ones were ‘Jinyan’ and ‘Donghong’. The fruit hardness decreased rapidly at 5 days after cold storage, and ‘Hongyang’ was the least storable under this condition. Under both conditions, the soluble solid content of fruit was inversely proportional to hardness. The soluble solid content was ‘Hongyang’ > ‘Jinyan’ or ‘Donghong’ > ‘Hort 16A’ > ‘Cuiyu’> ‘Xuxiang’ > ‘Jintao’.
