Abstract:In order to investigate the effect of soil resource availability on root biomass and distribution, the11-year Pinus elliottii plantation was used to analyze the change of wetland pine root biomass by applying nitrogen and phosphorus treatment. The results show that the nitrogen + phosphate fertilizer will increase the soil root biomass of the wetland pine plantation at 30 to 100 cm, the total root biomass of the soil surface increased by 23% to 35% and 21% to 48% in the soil subsurface than the distance of the soil surface than the root biomass of the forest, the total root length, total root projection area and total root surface area. Therefore, the application of nitrogen fertilizer + phosphate fertilizer can increase the root biomass of wetland pine plantation, and promote the effectiveness of soil resources.
