Abstract:To explore the effect of soil moisture content on the yield and quality of bamboo shoots in Phyllostachys violascens forest during the critical growth period of P. violascens, taking the cover P. violascens forest in Chongyang as experimental material, use soil hygrothermograph to record soil volumetric water content(VWC)and temperature changes in the 0~30cm soil layer, and according to the difference of soil volumetric water content in the critical growth period of P. violascens, three moisture gradient treatments and one control were designed to analyze the relationship between soil moisture content and the yield and quality of P. violascens shoots. Effective water management can significantly improve the yield and quality of P. violascens shoots, the highest P. violascens shoots yield of 21,250 kg·hm?2 was achieved when the soil volumetric water content(VWC)ranged from 18.5 to 21.5%, and the palatability of P. violascens shoots was better as well.
